1. Our Core Privacy Philosophy

FocusLock was built on a simple conviction: an app meant to help you focus should never harvest your attention or your personal data. We do not collect, store, transmit, or monetize your personal information.

2. How Your Data Is Handled

FocusLock is strictly an offline-first iOS application. All data generated within the app — including your focus timers, cyber-tree garden progress, streaks, session notes, and Family Lock PIN — is stored locally in your device's encrypted sandbox.

3. Screen Time API & Permissions

FocusLock requests permission to use Apple's native Screen Time API (FamilyControls and ManagedSettings) solely to shield the apps you choose to block during active focus sessions.

By design, Apple's privacy model does not allow third-party developers to see your browsing history, message contents, or which apps you open. FocusLock simply instructs iOS to apply shields during your timer.

4. Purchases & Payments

All in-app subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed directly through Apple's secure App Store infrastructure. We never receive or store your credit card details or billing information.
